About Railway Protection Force (RPF):
Railway Protection Force (RPF) is the security force of India that is involved in protection of railway passengers, railway’s property and areas under railway. It was formed on 27 July, 1984. RPF works under authority of Ministry of Railways (India). It has the power to arrest, investigate matters and also to prosecute criminals. Current strength is more than 65,000. This time department is going to add more staff through RPF Recruitment 2018. As per notification, department is in need of 9,739 Constables and SI posts.

RPF Recruitment Salary and Pay Scale
Pay scale and salary for Railway Protection Force vacancies as usual is always on the highest level. This is center government job. Selection Process
- Phase -1 : Written Exam: After checking all applications received, eligible candidates will be called for written or online exam. It is totally on department that how it will conduct RPF written exam. Most likely, online exam will be conducted but an OMR sheet based written examination is also possible.
- Phase -2 : PET and PMT: Candidates who successfully passed/qualify in the written examination will be called for PET and PMT phase.
- Phase -3 : Document Verification: Then after PET and PMT test, qualified applicants will be called for Document verification.
- Phase -4 : Medical Examination: This will be the last phase of selection process. Candidates whose documents are found to be correct will be undergoing a medical examination at the Railway Hospitals.
