‘Fake news’ named as word of the year 2017

Because of its widespread use all over the world, word widespread ‘Fake news’ has been named as the word of the year by Collins dictionary. As per the reports of Collins dictionary, there was 365% increase in the use of the word in last 12 months.

The word was used by current US President Donald Trump for many times while talking about news reporting in his speeches. Along with US president, UK Prime Minister Theresa May and UK Opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn were too other politicians who used a lot this word during their speeches.


Charni Road’s Royal Opera House Got UNESCO heritage award

After an year of reopening, Royal Opera House of Mumbai got UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation. The building was closed in 1993 for public. Since then its condition got bad through the years.

The restoration project was started eight years ago to replicate the heritage structure. It was originally inaugurated by Britain’s King George V in 1911 and completed in 1916.


Highest Motorable road of World Built in Ladakh at 19,300 feet by BRO

The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has constructed Highest Motorable road of World in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ladakh region under the “Project Himank”. The road passing through Umling La Top has been built at height over 19,300 feet.

Road Ministry has made it mandatory to use FASTag devices on front windscreens for all new 4-wheelers sold from December 1. It will be the responsibility of Manufacturers and authorised dealers to make it sure that new vehicles are fitted with the FASTag.

Narendra Modi Inaugurated ‘World Food India Festival 2017’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated ‘World Food India Festival 2017’- a mega event on food on Friday in National Capital New Delhi at Vigyan Bhavan. Pakyong airport first airport of Sikkim ready for Operations this Month

After a long delay of about five years, first airport of Sikkim is all ready to deliver its services in the state by the end of November. As per the sources 30 November is the date set for the inauguration of the first airport of Sikkim. The request to Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been sent to be present at the Inauguration ceremony.
