Government has made aadhaar card compulsory for getting subsidy on purchase of kerosene oil and to get benefits of Atal Pension Yojna.
In case of kerosene oil, the last date to get aadhhar card or enrolment for it is September 30. For Atal pension Yojna, 15 June is set as last date.
However if the beneficiary has applied for adhaar card but didn’t get it till date, the other identity proofs such as driving licence, ration card, voter card, Kisan passbook containing photo, MGNREGS job card issued or a certificate issued by a gazetted officer or a tehsildar will be considered as identity proof.
This decision will help in avoiding the leakages of subsidies and will ensure that benefits have reached to the real person.
