Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone of TU142M aircraft museum in Visakhapatnam along with H.C.S.Bisht, Eastern naval command Chief Vice Admiral. The aircraft museum is built on a beach road.
After 29 years of long service, The Russian aircraft was decommissioned at INS Rajali in Tamil Nadu and on 8th April it was brought to Vishakhapatnam to convert it into the museum.
TU142M aircraft museum will be inaugurated in December this year by President Ram Nath Kovind during his visit to Vishakhapatnam.
