Famous Bollywood playback singer Asha Bhosle will be honoured with Yash Chopra Memorial award 2018. She will be fifth recipient of the award after her sister Lata Mangeshkar, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, and King khan of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. The award will be given to Asha G on February 16, 2018.

Asha Bhosle is a well known playback singer of Hindi cinema and she has separate respected place in the Hindi film industry for her. Starting her career back in 1943, she has been giving her voice to the films of Industry for almost last 7 decades. Along with Hindi language, Asha G has also sang songs in total 20 languages.
Her name is added in the Guinness World Records book for recording more than 11,000 songs in 20 different languages. She is the sister of another respected and famous playback singer Lata Mangeshkar.
Yash Chopra memorial award
The awards are given in the memory of producer-director late Shri Yash Chopra who had died in the year 2012. These were started by TSR Foundation of T. Subbarami Reddy.
