Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana for Farmers at the Krishi Upaj Mandi in Khurai, Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. The scheme is aimed at to make sure that farmers get reasonable prices for for their crops.
How Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana will work?
The scheme will make it sure that farmers does not go into the loss due to distress sale of their crops. Farmers will be paid the different between the minimum sale price set by the government and actual sale price, which ever is higher. The amount will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of the farmers within the period of two months.
Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana for Farmers will initially cover 8 crops including oils and seeds. It is compulsory for farmers to register with the scheme to avail the benefits of it. Farmers must have to sell their crops in mandis and need to have a receipt of sale.

Suppose a farmer has sold his crop at a price of Rs.500 but the minimum support price is Rs. 530. So the difference amount of Rs. 30 will be directly deposited into the bank account of the farmer.
