ICICI Bank CEO and MD Chanda Kochhar and Priyanka Chopra – Bollywood star along with other three Indian women have featured in the list of the world’s 100 most powerful women compiled by Forbes.
Forbe’s list of world’s 100 most powerful women was topped by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She retained the top spot for the seventh consecutive year and 12 times in total.
Chanda Kochhar was ranked 32 on the coveted list and remained topper among Indian women in the list. Hollywood and Bollywood start Priyanka Chopra was spotted at 97th place. Among Indian women after Ms Kochar it was HCL Corporation CEO Roshni Nadar Malhotra who occupied 57th place.
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, founder-Chair, of Biocon took 71st position whereas Shobhana Bhartia, Chairperson and Editorial Director for HT Media got a place at 92nd position in world’s 100 most powerful women list by Forbes.
A part from these Indian women, some other Indian origin women also got place in top 100. Among Indian origin women, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi was spotted at the 11th position while Indian American Nikki Haley has been placed 43rd.
