Chattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh flagged of ‘Cancer diagnosis Ambulance’ from his official residence. The ambulance is fitted with advanced machines for early detection of Cancer in far flung areas of state. The treatment at Cancer diagnosis Ambulance will be provided free of cost. The ambulance will tour for one and half month (45 days)throughout the villages of Chattisgarh.
The ambulance has costed around Rs. 2 Crore. The cancer detection camps are organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Yuva Manch. Patients suffering from various kinds of cancer dieases such as oral, throat, breast, prostate, intestinal, liver and many others will be examined for early detection of cancer so that it could be treated successfully.
The Cancer diagnosis Ambulance will really be very helful in detection of cancer among villagers of the state. People of the villages are not much aware of the cancer and there are no adequate medical facilities to detect the disease at early curable state.
As per the doctors, there is only 20% survival rate for cancer patients because in most of the cases the patients already enters into advanced stages III and IV from where the chances to recover are very less. This initiative will surely help the state to early detect the disease.
Cancer is increasing rapidly among Indian women due to low awareness. As per the latest data, India is third in terms of number of cacer cases after China and US and is growing annually at 4.5-5%.
