CTET Eligibility 2020 – Age, Minimum Qualifications

Here are the eligibility details compulsory for all applicants to follow. The CTET 2020 eligibility is according to the exam applied. The department conducts two exam (Paper-| and Paper-||) depending on the kind of teachers. Paper-| is for those applicants who want to become teachers from Class 1 to 5th class. The other paper || is for those wishing to teach students from class 6th to 8th class. Please note that an applicant can apply for both the papers also. At least 60% marks in the each (paper 1 and 2) are required to be eligible for the appointment.

CTET Eligibility: Age & Educational Qualification

• Minimum Age Limit: 17 Years
• Maximum Age Limit: NA (no upper age limit)

Educational Qualification for Primary Stage (Class 1 to 5):

Senior Secondary passed with at least 50% marks. Candidate should also have passed or appearing in last year of 2 Elementary Education diploma.

OR

Senior Secondary (50% marks) with 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

Or

Passed Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Or

Graduate with 50% marks and must also have done Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).

Academic Qualification for Elementary Stage (Class 6 to 8)

The education required for second group (6 to 8th class) are different. Applicants must have any of the following qualification to appear for elementary stage examination.

Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Or

Graduation(50% marks), 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)

OR

Graduate with 45% marks, also should have passed or pursuing 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) as per NCTE

OR

Senior Secondary passed by scoring 50% marks. Candidate should also passed 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed). Candidate appearing in final year are also eligible to fill CTET application Form.

OR

All those applicants who posses Senior Secondary by scoring 50% marks and also must have passed 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. Final year applicants are also eligible to apply.

OR

At least 50% marks in graduation. Should have passed or pursuing 1-year Special Education B.Ed.

Things Required Before Filling CTET Online Application
