BCCI Lifts Ban On Rajasthan Cricket Association

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday decided to lift the ban on the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) on some conditions that former IPL chief Lalit Modi have to away from functioning of RCA. The decision to lift ban was taken in its Special General Meeting (SGM) of the board. It was BCCI acting President C.K. Khanna who announced the news.

Earlier RCA was suspended by the Indian cricket board in May 2014 due to re-election of ex-Indian Premier League (IPL) Commissioner Modi as its president. Since its suspension in 2014, RCA’s cricket affairs are being looked after by the BCCI.


India Ranks at 100th Position in ‘The Legatum Prosperity Index 2017’

India has improved its ranking in latest ‘The Legatum Prosperity Index 2017’ and has been spoted at 100th place. This is good sign despite of the fact of lower economic growth of India due to demonetisation and implementation of the goods and services tax (GST) reform in 2017.

The index, which offers an insight into how prosperity is forming and changing across the world, was done among 149 countries.


South Korea bans its banks from dealing in Bitcoin

South Korea government has banned its financial institutions from dealing in virtual currencies such as Bitcoin, as the cryptocurrency soars in a bubble fuelled by retail speculators, many of them from the country.

About one million South Koreans, many of them small-time investors, are estimated to own Bitcoins, and demand is so high that prices for the unit are around 20 percent higher than in the US, its biggest market.
