Karnataka will be holding India’s Largest B2B Travel Event
‘Karnataka International Travel Expo’ a largest B2B Travel Event of India will be hosted by Karnataka from February 28 as per the announcement made by state government of Karnataka. It will be a three day event where 400 delegates from more than 25 countries will participate.
The aim of India’s Largest B2B Travel Event at Karnataka is to project Karnataka globally and attract tourist footfall with emphasis on promoting the state’s wildlife, luxury and adventure destinations, historical monuments and UNESCO world heritage sites.
UNESCO Enters Turkey’s Endangered ‘Bird Language’ in Intangible Cultural Heritage List
UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage got one more entry from Turkey as the “bird language” of the country has been added to list. “Bird language” is used as a medium of communication in villages of remote northern Turkey. UNESCO accepted that this language is an endangered part of world heritage and needs to be protected on urgent basis.
Reserve Bank of India Replaced Bonds Scheme by 7.75% Savings Bonds Scheme
Reserve Bank of India has replaced its earlier bond scheme with new one as 7.75% Savings Bonds Scheme. As per the statement issued by finance ministry, it said that the RBI Bonds Scheme is not closed but the interest rate on such papers lowered to 7.75 percent. Opposition parties took this step seriously and said that this is not a good step and will affect middle class citizens of country because these kinds of schemes are mostly used by them.
Eastern Railway started special trains for Ganga Sagar Mela
Eastern Railway department has decided to operate special trains for upcoming Ganga Sagar Mela by seeing at the huge number of Hindus visiting the place. The Hindus from all over the world visits confluence of the Ganges at Sagar Sangam at southern part of West Bengal in India. The Railway department has announced 13 special trains to control the rush being expected at Ganges at Sagar Sangam.

Himachal Pradesh: Cabinet approved establishment of AIIMS in Bilaspur
Prime Minister Narendra Mosi led cabinet approved establishment of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. New AIIMS hospital at Bilaspur will be build under the center’s Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. This is the second branch of India’s premier medical institute. The construction and set up of hospital will be completed within two years.
Pankaj Jain assumes Charge as IIFCL Managing Director
Joint Secretary of Department of Financial Services (DFS), Mr Pankaj Jain has assumed charge as the MD of India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL). This new position has been given to Pankaj as an additional charge and he will be continuing with his current position of Joint Secretary at DFS.

HDFC Bank Rajasthan Govt. Partnered To Promote Startup Culture In State
HDFC Bank and state government of Rajasthan have partnered with each other for the promotion and nurturing startups in the state. HDFC bank also plans to assist startups in showcasing their offerings to the general public through its various platforms. The MoU for partnership was signed between Akhil Arora (principal Secretary of IT and Communication, Rajasthan) on behalf of Rajasthan government and Smita Bhagat in the presence of Zonal Head of HDFC Bank Mr Satyen Modi.
India Going to Buy 240 bombs,131 Barak Missiles to strengthen its Defence
In order to make Indian defence more stronger, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given green signal to two proposals under which India will purchace 240 bombs and 131 Barak Missiles. Under the first proposal, India is going to buy 240 bombs, at a cost of Rs. 1254 crore. The bombs will be purchased from Russia’s M/s JSC Rosonboron Exports.
As per the defence ministry, bombs will come with precision-guided munitions and will be used by Indian Air force whereas 131 Barak Missiles have been purchased for Indian Navy.
