YES Bank Launches Agenda 2525
Aiming at empowering women in India by involving them more in employment sector. Yes bank and YES Global Institute have launched agenda 25×25. The agenda pledges to create a better environment for women entrepreneurs in India. According to Yes Bank and YES Global Institute, a target to have at least 25% women entrepreneurs in India till 2525 is set.
A 10 Step Developmental Model focused on empowering women innovators is needed to build as per outlines of the agenda 25×25.
Indore is Cleanest City of India – Swachh Survekshan-2018
In recent Swachh Survekshan-2018 report, Indore has been selected as cleanest city of India. Bhopal is at second place. Famous by the name of The city beautiful, Chandigarh was placed at third spot in the survey report made at the national level.
Besides that, among biggest cities with population more than ten lakhs, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh is India’s cleanest big city. Below are some other stats of Swachh Survekshan-2018:-
- Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad is ‘Fastest Mover’ big city.
- It was New Delhi Municipal Council – country’s cleanest small city having a population between one lakh to three lakh.
- Best performing states in India are Jharkhand(first place) followed by Maharashtra(2nd).
Development Projects for Tarn Taran announced by CM
Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh has announced Rs. 555 crores development projects for the Tarn Taran, The fund will be used for uplift and upgradation for the border district of India. The district has been located near India’s border with Pakistan. Out of total, majority of projects will be for the betterment of communication and connectivity. Below is how budget has to be distributed under various development projects in Tarn Taran district of Punjab:-
- Rs. 370 crore will be used for developing road and communication.
- Amount of Rs. 60 Crore will be reserved which will spent for the developing 779 schools of district.
- For performing Mandi’s work, Rs 44 crores have been sanctioned.
- Rs. 40 crore and 12 crores will be used in health and education sector respectively.

Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes Benz has won his second race Spanish Grand Prix 2018. In other most discussed competitors, Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes finished at second while Sebastian Vettel ended with fourth place in the event.
Susheela Jayapal became first South Asian To Be Elected In Oregon
Sister of Indian American Congresswoman Susheela Jayapal has became first South Asian woman to be elected Oregon in the western US State. She does so by winning the District 2 seat on the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners. Out of total votes, 57% were in her favor.
