Indian shooters Gagan Narang, Pooja Ghatkar bags silver medal in mixed event at Czech shooting meet

Shooter from India Gagan Narang and Pooja Ghatkar have won silver medal in mixed event at Grand Prix of Liberation international shooting competition held in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Pooja shooted 413.5 while Gagan 419.7. They missed the gold by a little margin of 1.3 point. While in the mixed air pistol, silver was won by P. Shri Nivetha and Amanpreet Singh.


Amendment of India-Kuwait tax agreement Approved by CBDT

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified the protocol amending the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) between India and Kuwait. It enables information sharing related to tax from Kuwait with other law enforcement agencies, subject to an authorisation of the competent authority of Kuwait and vice versa.


India and Sri Lanka agreed to exchange Information for drug control

India and its neighbour Sri lanka has singed an agreement on Friday. According to agreement, both countries will exchange information with each other for better drug control between two. The step has bee taken to reduce smuggling of drugs in both countries.


NITI Aayog ink SoI with IBM

Indian think tank NITI aayog has signed SoI (statement of Intent) with IBM for crop yield production with the help of Artificial intelligence. This will help farmers to provide real-time advisory in Aspirational districts. The overall aim of the move is to combine technology with farming to provide insights to farmers so that improvement in soil yield, crop productivity, control agricultural inputs could be done.

The first phase of the move will be to develop ten districts Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh.


ADB: India Economy will be double with projected growth of 7%

Asian Development Bank (ADB) chief economist Yasuyuki Sawada in a statement said that India projected growth of 7% is amazing and fast. Adding further he said that if India continued to move with this growth for next 10 years, its economy will get doubled.

The bank also projected Indian economy growth rate 7.3% for 2018-19, and 7.6% in 2019-20 claiming that it would be fastest among Asian nations.


India at South Asian Junior Athletics Championships retain overall title winning 50 Medals

India has been at top spot at South Asian Junior Athletics Championships by winning 50 medals. India’s medals at third South Asian Junior Athletics Championships (SAJAC) tally includes 20 gold, 22 silver and eight bronze medals. This overall is one of the best performance by Indian junior athletes as they made many records during the event under different categories.


Vladimir Putin sworn in for fourth term

Yes it is Vladimir Putin once again becoming president of Russia for fourth time. He sworn in for his next six years term at a ceremony Kremlin. Now Putin will be having power to rule the country for another six years. Vladimir became president of Russia in 2000 and since then there is no stopping for him. He then again became president in 2004 then in 2008 and in 2012.
