Heena Sidhu Won gold at Commonwealth Shooting Championships
Indian Shooter Heena Sidhu has made India proud by wining gold medal at Commonwealth Shooting Championships in the women’s 10m Air Pistol event at the Commonwealth Shooting Championships held at Brisbane on Tuesday. Heena Sidhu beat Elena Galiabovitch from Australia. Elena Galiabovitch scored 238.2 and settle for silver whereas Heena scored 240.8 to grab the Gold Medal for India at Commonwealth Shooting Championships. Bronze was also won by Australian Kristy Gillman (213.7).

Saudi Arabia for the first time has decided to allow women into three sports stadiums from next year as per the authorities reports, It is a landmark move that would open up the previously male-only venues to families.
The kingdom with some world’s tightest restrictions on women had restricted women for long time from entering into the sports stadiums by strict rules on segregation of the sexes in public.

Virat Kohli becomes fastest batsman to score 9000 ODI runs
Virat Kohli has became fastest batsman to score 9000 runs in ODI cricket while playing during the match played against New Zealand on Sunday at Kanpur. Kohli scored a brilliant hundred at the match by scoring 113 runs in just 106 balls. He hit nine fours and a big six during his century making inning.
Earlier the record of fastest person to score 9000 ODI runs was held by South African hitter A.B. de Villiers. Kohli took just 194 innings to achieve this record whereas South African batsman took 205 innings.
Public Finance Management System Use Made mandatory for 613 central schemes by Govt
Center government made it compulsory to use Public Finance Management System (PFMS) for all of its schemes. The announcement was made by Finance minister Arun jaitley. Budgetary outlay of all the central schemes for which use of PFMS is mandatory accounts for over 31 per cent of the central government’s total expenditure during the current financial year 2017-18.

Indian Captains Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj Tops ICC Ranking
Indian cricket players whether men or women, both are performing well in the cricket. In latset Virat Kohli and Mithali Raj both have grabbed top spots in the latest ICC ODI ranking updates in their respective categories. Kohli remained at top place whereas Mithali jumped one place to occupy first rank.

The project will also make small farm holders of Assam to be able to produce crops that are resilient to recurrent floods or droughts in the state. Economic Affairs Department joint Secretary Sameer Kumar Khare said that $200 million loan agreement between India and World Bank will give strength to farming system and thus agriculture productivity will also be increased in the state.

More than 16 districts of Assam will be covered where the project will be implemented and more than 500,000 farming households will be directly benefitted through India, World Bank Project.
Woment empowerment will be given importance under the project and more women-led enterprises will be focused and participation of women in the decision-making process will be increased at farmer producer organizations.
