Centre of Excellence at Kochi to be Set Up by IORA

Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) is going to set up a Centre of Excellence at Kerala in Kochi. The purpose of the center will be to share researches and studies done in the field of fisheries and ocean studies among IORA member countries. It will help in avoiding repeated researches done by other IORA countries. All IORA member countries will be digitally connected with each other.


NGT sets limit to number of pilgrims visiting Vaishno Devi shrine per day

To avoid possibility of any mishap, Nationa Green Tribunal put restrictions on the number of pilgrims visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine to 50,000 per day. NGT also directed to open new seperate path for pedestrians from November 24 at a cost of Rs 40 crore.

Dantewada Holds India’s 1st Tribal Entrepreneurship Summit

First Tribal Entrepreneurship Summit of India will be organized at Dantewada in Chhattisgarh state. It will start from Tuesday next week with an aim to inspire, nurture and promote the spirit of entrepreneurship among the tribal youth.

The event is a part of 8th Global Entrepreneurship Summit being held in India. It was YS Chowdhary Union MoS Science and Technology who inaugurated the event. The organization of the event was done by NITI Aayog in partnership with Government of United States of America.


India Philippines signed four Agreements in Various Fileds

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Philippines. Four agreements have been signed between India and Philippines in areas of defence, agriculture, small and medium enterprises and tie-up between think-tanks.

The signing of agreements was done after a bilateral talk between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte in Manila. Prime Minister is in Manila to attend ASEAN and related summits that are underway in Philippines capital.


Northeast all set to get India’s first ever air dispensary

India’s first-ever “air dispensary” based on a helicopter will be launched in Northeast region. The announcement was made by Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) Dr Jitendra Singh.

In June 30, 2017 Dr Jitendra Singh who is also Minister of State PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space had shared his plans regarding the launch of such facility while he was addressing the Elets 7th Healthcare Leaders Forum (HLF) Delhi.
