Piyush Goyal launches Railways first set of solar plants in Delhi
First set of Solar power plants was launched by Railway minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi at International Conference on Green Initiatives and Railway Electrification. Total capacity of solar power plant is 5 megawatt peak (MWp). It is an ambitious project of Indian railway whose aim is to reduce the carbon footprint of the national transporter.

Rajasthan Assembly Passed Bil to Increase OBC Quota to 26 Per Cent
Rajasthan Assebbly passed bill to increase OBC- Other Backward Classes quota from existing 21% to new 26 per cent on Thursday (26/10/2017). As per the Rajasthan state government decision 5% reservation quota will be given to five most backward OBC communities of state including Gujjars and other four casts which were earlier declared as special backward classes(SBC) by the Supreme Court.
The newly passed OBC bill by Rajasthan governemnt has raised the overall reservations quota to 54%. This is against the Supreme Court’s order of keeping the reservation quota not more than 50 per cent.
Gokul Natesan becomes second Indian-origin player to be signed by NBA G-League side
Gokul Natesan became only the second Indian-origin player to be signed by an NBA G-League side. He is the 97th pick in the draft of NBA. Gokul Natesan will become the part of Canton Charge, a minor league affiliate team of Cleveland Cavaliers.

Gokul Natesan was also declared as RMAC defensive player of the year 2016 and started in all 35 games in Division II scoring 648 points and ended on fourth spot on the team’s most points score list till now with a total of 2014 points starting 2013. The youngster would also attend the NBA G league invitational tryouts in Chicago in August this year before he was drafted in the NBA G league Draft.
