Largest bank of Duai, Emirates NBD has started its operations in India as first branch of the bank was opened at Mumbai. The Mumbai branch of the bank is located at Maker Maxity, Bandra Kurla Complex.
This is the fifth international branch of the bank outside of its UAE network and has been opened with an investment of $100m in capital towards Indian operations. Sharad Agarwal who has been associated with Emirates NBD for last 12 years will look after and lead the operations of Dubai’s first bank in India.
Emirates NBD bank will offer following services in India:
Services to SME and institutional clients including trade finance, treasury services, bilateral and syndicated loans. Support services to NRI (non-resident Indian) customers who will be looking for cross-border wealth management solutions will also be provided by the Emirates NBD.
There are huge number of Indian expatriates in UAE and Indians constitute the largest expatriate community in UAE. The bank offers fastest fund transfer services to India (in just 60 Seconds).
Emirates NBD has also partnered with India’s largest private sector bank ICICI bank on a pilot project to use blockchain technology for global remittances and trade finance.
