Forbes released Forbes India 30 Under 30 list on 5th February, 2018. This time four Indian athletes made it to the list. These four are Jasprit Bumrah, Harmanpreet Kaur, Savita Punia and Heena Sidhu.
Forbes generates this list annually. The list is prepared based on the four criteria as below:
- The extent of impact of players achievements,
- Ability to disrupt the status quo;
- Scalability of the business or line of work
- Players Potential to stay a long-term player.
Jasprit Bumrah
Jasprit Bumrah has a wonderful record in the recent year 2017. He performed brilliantly throughout the year to make it to Forbes India 30 Under 30 list. The 24 years old claimed 39 wickets in his 23 ODIs played last year. He was also included in ICC ODI team of the year because of his great performance with ball in cricket ground.
Harmanpreet Preet Kaur
Harmanpreet has shown the world that women can also bat like men. Her 171 score against Austrlia in the last year’s women world cup semifinal is the proof of it. She was also among 17 sportspersons named for Arjuna Award. She is the first Indian female cricketer signed Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League.
Heena Sidhu
Heena Sidhu is former world no. 1 shooter. She has also received Arjuna award. In October 2017, Sidhu clinched gold medal at Commonwealth shooting championships in Brisbane, Australia.
Savita Punia
She is one of the important player of Indian women hockey team ans has proved her capabilities on many occasions in hockey ground. Her brilliant saves for India in against Japan in 2016 Rio Olympics qualifier match and in Asia Cup final against China are memorable ones.
