Four New Helpline Numbers Launched by Government
In an effort to help people, four new helpline numbers are launched by Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Helpline number are launched amid the second wave of covid-19.
Center government has asked private TV News channels for promotion of these numbers. In a letter, ministry of Information and broadcasting has asked private channels to display the helpline numbers at regular intervals so that it could reach up to maximum people of India. Ministry also appreciated the current efforts made by TV news channels to fighting the corona virus pandemic. These channels have worked hard to generate awareness among people about Covid treatment protocol, Covid-appropriate behavior and vaccination.
New launched Helpline Number
Total four new helpline numbers launched by IT ministry with details are as under:-
- 1075– This is national helpline number launched by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- 1098– Child helpline number issued by Ministry of Women & Child Development.
- 14566– This helpline number is for senior citizens. It is issued by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
- 08046110007– This fourth helpline number is for psychological support. This is related to National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS).
Working Areas- The senior Citizen helpline number (14566) will work in following states of India. Karnataka, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Other Important Helpline number related to Covid-19:-
14443– To provide approaches as well as solutions for various challenges raised by COVID-19. Ministry of AYUSH operates this number.
1075– People can book vaccination slots through this helpline number.
COVID-19 Cases in India: India has seen a spike in number of cases in last month. But, now the cases are coming down. Government aims to reduce Covid positive cases with speed. For this Vaccination is done at large scale. Government is also making people aware through various ways like TVs, newspapers etc. It is the duty of every citizen to cooperate with government.
