India at South Asian Regional Badminton Team Championship has beaten Nepal by a margin of 3-0 to clinch its first South Asian Regional Badminton Championship on Tuesday. India shown remarkable performance throughout the tournament as it entered to final without losing a single game.
Taking on the Dipesh Dhami of Nepal, Aryaman was in his elements from the word go and picked up an easy 21-9, 21-15 victory to give the hosts the early initiative. Local star Ashmita Chaliha continued the Indian juggernaut as she sailed to a 21-9, 21-6 win over Rashila Maharjan in the girls’ singles.
Indian boys pair of Arintap Dasgupta and Krishna Prasad were given a tough fight from Nepal’s Dipesh Dhami and Nabin Shrestha. Nepal started with great performance and won the first game with a score of 21-19.
Then the Indians came back hard and shown great efforts as they won the next two games by score of 21-14, 21-11 to win the final game.
