International Army Games 2018 have been started in Patriot Park of Moscow region. The games were declared opened by Defence minister of Russia, Sergei Shoigu. Teams from India are also participating in the games. As per sources, India will be participating in two events that are Tank Biathlon event at Alabino ranges, Moscow region and Elbrus Ring competition in Caucasus mountains.
Starting from these International Army Games 2018, will be end on August 11. It will cover twenty four grounds around seven countries below: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China and Russia. The best part of the event is that for the first time Armenia and Iran are co hosting events of the Army Games.
Opening ceremony of games was attended by various defence ministers from participating countries and also from other delegates. From India’s side Pankaj Saran attended the opening ceremony. Pankaj is India’s ambassador to Russia.
