The images captured by recently launched weather observation Cartosat-2 series satellite by ISRO have been available on the ISRO official website. The image shows a part of the Madhya Pradesh State’s Indore city with Holkar Cricket Stadium in the centre.
The image was captured by the satellite on the third day of its launch. Cartosat-2 series satellite was launched on 12th of January using PSLV-C40 rocket by ISRO from its spaceport at Sriharikota.
Cartosat-2 Specifications:
Cartosat-2 is a special techniques weather observation satellite. It is an advanced remote sensing satellite. Its configurations are similar to earlier six spacecraft and is intended to augment data services to users.
The Cartosat-2 satellite was launched along with other 29 satellite through PSLV C-40. Out of 30 satellites, 28 were from foreign countries.
