Kerala Govt has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with technology giant Intel and UST Global for discovering possibilities to convert the state into a manufacturing hub for electronic hardware.
MOU was signed among IT department of Kerala, Intel corporation and UST Global in the presence of Chief minister of kerala Pinarayi Vijayan.
Initial step to achieve the goal has been already taken by the state government by the establishment of Kerala Electronics and Hardware Mission. The final report containing potential, challenges and road map for the set up has already been submitted by the Kerala Electronics and Hardware Mission in August.
The government had already made clear its intention of promoting electronics hardware manufacturing in the state through policy initiatives, including budget declarations on setting up hardware parks.
