Maharashtra government signed an MoU with South Korea for boosting infrastructure development in the state. Mumbai Chief minister Davendra Fadnavis is on three day visit to South Korea and MoU was signed on the first day the visit.
Major points of the Agreement:
The 706 Km Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway or Samruddhi Corridor of Rs. 46,000 crore was one of the important consideration of the MoU. The express way will be divided into two phase. In first phase 706 Km long eight lane road will be developed between Nagpur and Mumbai. In the second phase 25 nodes (townships) will be made simultaneously.
The MoU help the state in its projects like smart city, road projects, highways, metro rail in different parts of the state and airports.
