Malvika Sinha has been appointed as Executive Director of Reserve Bank after the B P Kanungo was appointed as Deputy Governor.
As per the RBI’s release, her responsibilities will be to look after:
- Foreign exchange department
- Department of government and
- Bank accounts
- Internal debt management wing
Kanungo was Executive Director of the Reserve Bank before being elevated to the post of Deputy Governor.
Sinha had joined RBI in 1982 and served in the areas like foreign exchange, government and bank accounts and regulation and supervisions.
