Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday started launching the release of benefits under ‘Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana’ – The scheme aiming to improve the conditions of distressed sections of the society.
He launched it on the occasion of Republic Day of India and also make an appeal to the people in his address not to commit suicide. he assured that the farm debt waiver scheme will be completed by the November 2018. As per the CM the scheme will benefit 10.25 lakh farmers of the state by November of this year.

Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojana is launched with an aim of “Wipe every tear from every eye”. Its objective is to help distressed sections of the society by helping them socially, economically or psychologically.
