Indian Railway Minister Mr. Suresh prabhu launched a mission to upgrade the existing coaches of railway to offer better facilities to passengers. The mission is named as Mission Retro-Fitment.
Under the mission retro-fitment, total 40,000 existing coaches will be upgraded with world class facilities. Under the upgrade new furnishing, better facilities, safety and comfort will be provided. Environment safety will also is also an important factor which has been taken into consideration while upgrading the coaches.
More Insights of the mission:
The mission is considered to be one of the world’s largest retro fitment project and will be completed by 2022-2023. Cost of refurbishing will be Rs. 30 Lakh per coach.
This is the great initiative taken by the railway Ministry. But, little bit effort also needs to be done by the passengers. It is the public properly and we should take care of it by our self.
