With an aim to promote transparency, efficiency and to go digital in the railway system, Online Bill tracking system for Vendors & Contractors was introduced by Minister of Railways & Coal, Piyush Goyal. As per the new system, Indian railway vendors will now be able to track their bill status and will be get paid within one month of generation of receipts.
The online IT platform of the Online Bill tracking system has been developed in house by CRIS, New Delhi which is also called Indian Railways E-Procurement System (IREPS).
Here is all you need to know: In order to use the new system, the vendors have to get registered. Once registered, vendors will be able to see: status of their bills with dates, the state of processing, amount passed and other related details.
The bill will be settled down within 30 days after the receipt is generated. A detailed user manual has been uploaded on website to help vendors to aware of the new Online Bill tracking system for Vendors/agencies.
