Special canteen for labours with food at just Rs.5 was launched by Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh as ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Shram Anna Sahayata Yojna’. The nutritious meal will be provided to arround 60,000 labourers at just rupees five.
As per the state government, 60 such food centers will be set up in 27 districts of the state with a target to provide food to 60,000 labourers in a day. The labourers will also be able to get the meal packed into their tiffins.
Twenty one lakh workers have also been registered by the government from organised and the unorganised sectors.
