Rajinder Khanna appointed New Deputy National Security Adviser

Former chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), Rajinder Khanna has been appointed as deputy National Security Adviser (NSA). He was head of RAW for a term of two years. Currently he is on special duty (Neighbourhood Studies) in the National Security Council Secretariat.


MoU Between India and Israel for Cooperation in Oil and Gas Sector

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between India and Israel for the oil and gas sector cooperation. The MoU is considered as important one as it is signed just before a few days of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposed visit to India.


Land Border Crossing Agreement approved between India and Myanmar

India and Myanmar have came up with a Land Border Crossing Agreement to facilitate regulation and harmonization free movement rights for people of both the countries. The approval is expected to enhance economic and social interaction between the two countries.

Free movement rights are already in place for the people of both the countries residing in the border areas. Such agreement will also facilitate movement of people on the basis of valid passports and visas.


Six Countries to enter UN Security Council

UN security council has added six new countries to its list. Six countries added are Equatorial Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kuwait, Peru, Poland and the Netherlands. These six are joining as non-permanent members of United Nations Security Council. UN has five permanent member countries named as Britain, China, France, Russia and the United States. All these five permanent member have the power to veto resolution.

Changes in non-permanent members of UN Security Council also happened recently when six countries Egypt, Italy, Japan, Senegal, Ukraine and Uruguay left the council.


AP Grameena Bank unveils desktop ATM in rural India

It seems that development in rural areas of Andhra Pradesh is going in right direction and opening of desktop ATM that too in rural areas is an example of it. Andhra Pradesh Grameena Vikas Bank (APGVB) has started its first desktop ATM at Kasibugga in Mandi Bazar of Warangal in Telangana. The mini ATM will be helpful for rural area people to withdraw small amounts.

NABARD Sanctioned Rs 372.51 crore Loan to Odisha

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has Sanctioned Rs 372.51 crore loan to Odisha. The NABARD loan to Odisha has been provided under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the construction of rural bridge projects and for irrigation purpose for last fiscal quarter of this year.
