UPPSC Prelim Exam Pattern for RO & ARO written Exam

The prelim exam will consist of two parts that is Paper-I and paper-II. Both papers will be multiple choice and paper-I will be from General Studies (140 Marks) and paper-II will be from General Hindi(60 marks). Read below for more details:

Please note that there will also be negative marking in both papers which will be 1/3rd of the mark assigned for that wrong answer.

1- Translation from English to Hindi of an extract from a Press Communique, Press Article or Government Resolution.                                                                 Maximum Marks: 30

2- Translation from English to Hindi of a section or some Sections of an Act of the legislature.                                                                                          Maximum Marks: 10 

3- Explanation of common expressions, clinchés etc, which might be met with in either of the above, technical-official words.                                                           Maximum Marks: 10
