Vipul – An Indian diplomat on 3 April, 2017 took charge as India’s new Consul General in Dubai.
Vipul is an officer of 1998 batch of Indian Foreign Service. He only uses his first name, Vipul has assumed office through the official Twitter account of the Indian Consulate in Dubai on Sunday.
Earlier before joining this consul, Vipul worked as a joint secretary at the office of India’s External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the past three years. He had earlier served at India’s diplomatic missions in Cairo, Colombo and Geneva.
During his diplomatic career, he has worked for various departments like political and commercial relations, development, disarmament, international security and media.
